Terms of service
These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL_NAME] (“we”), who runs TrustShip. By creating an account or using the TrustShip API, you accept them. TrustShip is a tool for businesses and developers building apps, so you use it for professional purposes, on your own behalf or for the organisation you represent.
1. The service
TrustShip checks the content your app sends it (text and images) against the policy you set, and gives you reports, blocks, bans, appeals, a review queue and a compliance checklist for App Store Review Guideline 1.2. You can use it through the dashboard and the API.
Moderation is automated and can be wrong in both directions. TrustShip helps you meet Apple’s and Google’s rules, but it does not guarantee that your app will be approved, and you stay responsible for your app, its content and reviewing what your users report.
2. Your account
Give accurate information and keep your password, API keys and sign-in accounts safe. Anything done with your API keys counts as done by you. If a key leaks, rotate it in the project’s Settings. Tell us at [LEGAL_EMAIL] if you think your account was used without your permission.
3. Plans and payment
Free: 1 project and 1,000 moderation checks a month per project. A check is one call to POST /v1/moderate. Past 1,000 checks, moderation keeps working up to 2,000 checks that month, then for a 24-hour grace period, after which checks pause until the next month or an upgrade. Checks used by a project you delete still count for that month.
Pro: €20 a month or €199 a year, with unlimited projects and checks under fair use (section 5). Prices are in EUR and include VAT where it applies.
By card: payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. A card subscription renews automatically every month or year until you cancel it under Billing → Manage subscription. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you paid for, and Pro stays on until then. If a renewal payment fails, Pro stays on for up to 14 days while Stripe retries the card.
With crypto: each payment buys 30 or 365 days of Pro and does not renew. Send exactly the amount the invoice shows, in one transaction; a payment that does not match is checked and confirmed by hand. Transactions on a blockchain are public and cannot be reversed.
We may change prices. A new price applies to new subscriptions at once and to existing ones from their next renewal after at least 30 days’ notice.
4. Refunds
Payments are not refunded for a period already started, except when a law that cannot be set aside requires it. If you were charged by mistake (for example twice for the same period), write to [LEGAL_EMAIL] within 30 days and we refund the error. Crypto refunds are sent in the same currency, to an address you give us.
5. Fair use and acceptable use
Pro is unlimited for traffic from your own apps. You may not resell or give access to TrustShip as a service to others, or use more than one account or project to get around the Free plan’s limits. If your usage puts the service at risk for others, we will contact you before limiting it, except in an emergency.
Do not use TrustShip to store or share illegal content, to attack or overload it, to test its security without our written permission, or to break any law.
6. Child safety
Every image sent to TrustShip is checked against known child sexual abuse material (CSAM) with Arachnid Shield before any other processing.
Content that matches known CSAM, or that the moderation model scores as sexual content involving minors, is blocked. TrustShip keeps a record of the match (identifiers, hashes, time) but never the content itself. You are responsible for any reporting duties that apply to your app, such as reporting to NCMEC in the United States. We may report apparent CSAM ourselves and will cooperate with the competent authorities as the law requires. Records of known-CSAM matches are kept for at least 12 months, so a project with a match from the last 12 months cannot be deleted.
7. Your users’ content and personal data
For the content your app sends to TrustShip, you decide what is processed and why: you are the controller and we are your processor under Article 28 of the GDPR. We therefore:
- process that content only to provide TrustShip to you, as you instruct through the API and the dashboard, unless a law requires otherwise;
- keep it confidential, and only let people who need it to run the service access it;
- protect it with appropriate measures (encrypted connections, hashed API keys and passwords, no storage of images);
- use only the subprocessors listed in the privacy policy, and tell you before adding or replacing one, so you can object;
- help you answer requests from your users exercising their rights, and with your own security and impact assessments;
- tell you without undue delay if a breach affects that content;
- delete it when you delete the project, except known-CSAM match records (section 6) and what the law makes us keep;
- give you the information you need to show that these obligations are met.
You confirm that you are allowed to send this content to TrustShip, and that your app’s privacy policy says it is checked by a moderation service.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep TrustShip available and secure but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may change or remove features; if a change significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we tell you at least 30 days before, and you may cancel.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses (such as lost profits, revenue or data), and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using TrustShip at any time: cancel your subscription, delete your projects, and ask us at [LEGAL_EMAIL] to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, after warning you unless the law or an emergency prevents it.
11. Changes to these terms
We will tell you about important changes by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using TrustShip after that, the new terms apply.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. Before going to court, write to us so we can try to settle the dispute together. Otherwise, the courts competent for our registered address have jurisdiction.
